The Flight to Jordan..

As i mentioned before.. the flight to jordan was crazy... it took us 4 days to pack everything for the kids.. we took everything with us.. not planning on buying anything from Jordan.. So we bought clothes up to 9 months for Selina and up to 18 months for Yousef..

It took us forever to pack but we did manage to fit everything without having to pay $200 for a new bag..

The first flight to France was 8 hours.. Luckily we had bassinets.. So we were able to put the twins in them so they can sleep for few hours.. they took one feeding during the flight..

We had to stay in france for 2 hours waiting for the next flight to Jordan.. We had lunch.. gave the babies a feeding and headed back to the plane..

The second plane sucked.. The seats were small.. we had the last seats in the plane.. near the bathroom and we didn't have anywhere to put the babies in, so we had to carry them throughout the entire flight.. 5 more hours and we arrived... finally.. so tired..

Carrying the babies through the airport was a whole new issue.. they didn't give us the stroller.. so our backs and shoulders hurt for a week after we arrived..

At the airport

airplane taking off.. poor Yousef crying:(

but finally we arrived...

Halloween...

OH yeah.. we wanted so bad to get the twins costumes..
at first i wanted to buy a fairy costume for Selina but that won't work with yousef and i didn't find a small size for the itty bitty girl..
Then i found some onesies for woody and jessie in the disney store.. hammam didn't like them...

So, in the end, we put some halloween pj's on the twins and thats it.. but they still looked cute.. what can i say.. they r my babies:) love 'em to death

She asked me do u sleep? sarcastic question i figured!! i just laughed..
she said " trust me and watch the dvd"

We did and it did wonders..
we didn't use it for naps, but we used it and still r through the night...
its all about the 5 S's...

As my mom always says" alla yirda 3laik ya harvey ya iben im harvey"

The milk problem....

Oh boy!!! how many types and brands of milk did we use... its crazy...
From the very start, the babies got hooked on the small ready made Similac advance bottles... everything was great until we ran out of the bottles the hospital gave us..We got the Similac powder that worked with Selina for quite a While but yousef was having fussiness and gas.. so we switched him to Similac Sensitive that didn't work of course...  So we switched to enfamil ( people said it was better ).. We started with Enfamil Newborn that worked for a while.. then to Enfamil Infant (that didn't work at all).. then to Enfamil Gentlease (with partially decided proteins)  he got a little better.. then we switched to Enfamil AR ( he got like 90% better but constipated... so we decided to mix Enfamil AR with Gentlease to get the best results....

8 different types.. and thats Yousef... and with that he was taking lansoprazole twice a day for reflux..

Selina on the other hand was worrying us.. her symptoms started right after Yousef got better.. she was eatingSimilac advance powder without any problems.. but all of a sudden she refused milk... we switched bottles ( got evenflow, Avent, Medela, Playtex, Nuk and ended up using tommy tippee) but that didn't end the issue.. she still got reflux.. so we gave her lanzoprazole  and she still didn't get better.. gave her the same sequence of milk products we gave yousef but still we didn't get good results.. The doctor told us that similar for spit up is good so we got her that and we mixed it with Similac advance to avoid constipation.. She got like 20% better but then she started to vomit with every feeding.. that started to worry us a lot..

THe doctor asked then for an upper GI with was the worst experience ever.. she cried a lot.. poor baby... they said that she got pyloric spasm... the medicine they decided to give her has a side effect of parkinson in the future so we decided not to give it to her... So we switched her to Similac Alimentum(Hypoallergenic).. she got better.. al7amdulillah.. she still hates milk but at least she takes it when i feed it to her.. refuses to eat with anyone else..

thats 8 +2 (10 different types for Selina) and 6 different types of bottles

First 2 months.. BLUUUUURRRRR

My mom stayed with us til the 3rd of october... god bless her she is an angel.. don't know what we could have done without her.. she did almost everything when she was with us... she helped in everything.. with the babies.. around the house and she even cooked for us almost everyday.. Love her so much...

1st time we left the house

I got so bored 2 weeks after i gave birth.. couldn't stay in the house.. so we decided to go to the mall..
we spent maybe 3 hours preparing for the outing.. spent an hour or two in the mall.. did couple diaper changes and a feeding.... but at least we got to smell some fresh air..

First mail for my little angels

So 2 weeks after we went home.. my babies got their 1st mail.. how exciting:)

They both got their birth certificates and passports.. yaaaayyy:)

Heading home.. HoMe sWeeT HoMe

So on the 17th.. i was discharged.. 4 days passed that i really didn't know when they began and when they ended.. I was tired and so was my mom and hammam..

Hammam's department didn't give him any days off.. so he kept on coming to the room every now and then just checking on us.. Poor guy..

My mom stayed with me at the hospital these days while hammam left at midnight and came back the next day..

The day of discharge was crazy.. we waited for the photographer to come and take our babies' 1st professional photos.. we waited for the carseats to get checked.. for the papers to get done.. and then for the nurses to just let us go... it took forever..

Poor Selina and Yousef were so tiny in the carseats.. they looked so adorable...

of course, they cried all the way home.. we got scared.. thought something was wrong..

anyways.. at home.. we wanted to change their clothes and figured out that everything we bought was too big.. even size zero -Poor little babies.. so dressed them up in onesies and wrapped them with blankets until hammam went to babiesRus and bought some clothes for the little ones...

Got to the hospital.. which was 30 minutes away from home.. and found hammam waiting for me right there.. at the entrance.. (Love that guy)..

Anyways.. they started preparing me for delivery (i was so scared... well it was a C-section what do u expect!)

At 12:54 pm Selina was born.

It was a blessing..

Babies Room

Ever since we knew we were pregnant we started preparing for the babies' room.. got so excited and bought everything pretty early... The good thing is we get 10% of every large item because we're having twins...

Yousef's side of the room

Selina's side of the room

We got the cribs, bedding & accessories from "babiesRus".
It took us forever to find a rug and curtains that would work with yousef's and selina's stuff, but finally we bought them from "pottery barn kids"... LOVE IT... even though it is expensive..

it looked amazing and we couldn't wait for our little angels to come..

7 months pregnant

This was just couple of weeks before i gave birth..
We left the hospital after the regular EVERY DAY NST session.. went for a walk in downtown rochester hills.. ate at a mexican restaurant.. then went back home

6 months pregnant

We were invited to a graduation party.. so i managed to find something that fits...

I was 6 months pregnant.. or maybe a little more.. not really sure..

3 months pregnant

So when i was 3 months pregnant.. we decided to go to florida in spring break.. it was amazing..
even though i didn't get to ride anything but we had lots of fun... we went to epcot ( we ate a lot there).. it was great:)

And i guess i started to show right then..
