Oh boy!!! how many types and brands of milk did we use... its crazy...
From the very start, the babies got hooked on the small ready made Similac advance bottles... everything was great until we ran out of the bottles the hospital gave us..We got the Similac powder that worked with Selina for quite a While but yousef was having fussiness and gas.. so we switched him to Similac Sensitive that didn't work of course... So we switched to enfamil ( people said it was better ).. We started with Enfamil Newborn that worked for a while.. then to Enfamil Infant (that didn't work at all).. then to Enfamil Gentlease (with partially decided proteins) he got a little better.. then we switched to Enfamil AR ( he got like 90% better but constipated... so we decided to mix Enfamil AR with Gentlease to get the best results....
8 different types.. and thats Yousef... and with that he was taking lansoprazole twice a day for reflux..
Selina on the other hand was worrying us.. her symptoms started right after Yousef got better.. she was eatingSimilac advance powder without any problems.. but all of a sudden she refused milk... we switched bottles ( got evenflow, Avent, Medela, Playtex, Nuk and ended up using tommy tippee) but that didn't end the issue.. she still got reflux.. so we gave her lanzoprazole and she still didn't get better.. gave her the same sequence of milk products we gave yousef but still we didn't get good results.. The doctor told us that similar for spit up is good so we got her that and we mixed it with Similac advance to avoid constipation.. She got like 20% better but then she started to vomit with every feeding.. that started to worry us a lot..
THe doctor asked then for an upper GI with was the worst experience ever.. she cried a lot.. poor baby... they said that she got pyloric spasm... the medicine they decided to give her has a side effect of parkinson in the future so we decided not to give it to her... So we switched her to Similac Alimentum(Hypoallergenic).. she got better.. al7amdulillah.. she still hates milk but at least she takes it when i feed it to her.. refuses to eat with anyone else..
thats 8 +2 (10 different types for Selina) and 6 different types of bottles
